Services

Decatur County General Hospital strives to provide the kinds of services that our customers require.  For their convenience patients can have their testing done here even though their physician may be in another city.

DCGH provides the following  services:

Acute patient care

Swingbed (Skilled care for patients requiring  extended care for physical therapy, respiratory therapy, IV therapy, pain management, etc). One of the positive aspects of having skilled beds in an acute care facility is the fact that we have  24 hour in-house physcians available to handle any  problems that may arise. The attending physicans also see their patients more often than in a free-standing facility because they are here most everyday.
Outpatient Department
Laboratory
Radiology (CT scans, Bone density tests, Ultrasound, Echocardigram, doppler studies, mammograms, floroscopy)
Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Respiratory Therapy
IV therapy/medications (antibiotics) and IM medications
Medications related to cancer therapy such as Procrit, Neupogen, Neulasta, etc.
Transfusion of blood products
24 hour continuous cardiac monitoring devices
Diabetic Teaching
Dietary Instruction
Outpatient Surgery Services (See Medical Specialty Clinic Page)
24 hour Emergency and Ambulance Services
